HALH Constitution
In 2022 the committee carried out a review of the Association’s constitution which was last amended and adopted in 2014. We needed to update to confirm the Executive Committee's powers to communicate with members, and hold meetings, electronically. So we took the opportunity to modernise/reformat the constitution in line with the Charity Commission's latest proforma as well as formally setting out the trustees' responsibilities. The revised constitution was adopted by the membership at the AGM on 21 May 2022 and subsequently accepted by the Charity Commission.
A further revision was made in 2024. The changes related to the number of trustees required by the constitution and the co-opting of committee members who are not trustees. These changes were adopted by members at our AGM on 18 May 2024 and accepted by the Charity Commission.
