HALH 75th Anniversary 2024

From a Roman city to post-war new towns – and agricultural innovation to royal residences – Hertfordshire has a rich and diverse past.  In 2024 we aim to encourage as many people as possible to visit our museums, join local history societies, engage with heritage projects and get involved with our local history.  But we need your help!

You don’t need to be pursuing formal history study or actively researching a subject to get involved.  We’d love to include anyone who reads or watches history programmes for pleasure, family historians, those of us who enjoy historical fiction or period dramas, and everyone who likes a day out at historic houses, museums and heritage sites.

To find out more, download the newsletters below for more information and then get in touch.  If you’re not already a member, you’ll be made most welcome and a year’s HALH subscription also makes the perfect gift!

Please join us in making 2024 a bumper year for local history in Hertfordshire.
