Symposium 2025 booking now

Crossing Counties: Transport History in Herts, Beds and Bucks


For 2025 we will be partners with the British Association for Local History and Bedfordshire Local History Association for a regional conference  to be held on Saturday 11 October at Barton-le-Clay, Bedfordshire. This replaces our usual Annual Symposium for 2025. More information and booking details here

HALH Award for Personal Achievement in Local History

Two dedicated local historians were recognised at our Spring Meeting on Saturday 17 May. President Dr Heather Falvey presented the HALH Award to Dorothy Abel Smith and Molly Anderson in recognition of their outstandsing contribution to local history in Hertfordshire.
