Notes for contributors It is
the policy of
Herts Past & Present to encourage interest and research in
Hertfordshire's local history and archaeology. Contributions are
usually based on original work in these fields, and societies and
individuals are assured that reports and articles which meet our
standards will always be considered for publication. Whilst they
may relate to a specific area, articles should be written with their
audience in mind and made relevant to anyone interested in the local
history of the county.
Articles of between 1,500 to 3,000 words should
be submitted ideally as good quality double spaced typescripts, and accompanied
wherever possible by a version on disc or CD. Most common formats can be
accepted. Discs should be clearly labelled with title, author and format.
A 100 word summary would be helpful.
Authors should include good quality
illustrations. It is the responsibility of the authors to ensure that,
where necessary, any copyright permissions have been obtained and copies of
these should accompany the illustrations.
Copyright in the published articles remains with
the individual authors. The authors and editors have made every effort to
address the copyright holders of material used and would be glad to be informed
of any omissions. The views and opinions expressed in this journal do not
necessarily reflect the views of policy of the publishers.
